I’m Ashley, owner of Ashley by the Desert Co. I am content creator, designer and photographer. You may have first known me on social media as Ashley by the Sea, but after moving to Arizona from Florida in May 2022, I changed my online alias and brand to Ashley by the Desert.

Ashley by the Desert Co. specializes in creating fun, positive and relatable designs for stickers, apparel and accessories.

Before I ever had a presence on social media I worked in the marketing industry as a graphic designer for over 8 years while pursuing photography on the side. I began making short comedy videos on TikTok at the end of 2019, not thinking much about it and only doing it for fun. I loved taking theater in high school and acting in community theater plays, so for me TikTok was a new outlet for me to be creative and perform. When the coronavirus pandemic hit, I was laid off from my job as a designer that I had for many years. I felt lost and the future felt uncertain. 

During quarantine I focused solely on content creation and realized I really loved to make people laugh. I finally felt I had a purpose again and I have been doing it full-time ever since. The community I built online has allowed me to start my own small business, which has always been a dream of mine. You’d be surprised how much more supportive strangers on the internet can be than some people you have known for many years. Many of my designs are inspired by the content I make. I do my best to make my content relatable, then translate it into designs my community will connect with and enjoy.

Whether you have been here from the beginning or you are new to my community, you are part of the reason why I have gotten to where I am today and for that I am beyond grateful!
